Watch Your Waist

Nobody likes to get on the scale so you might be happy to hear that some experts believe a better gauge of your overall health is your waistline.

Less than 35 inches is considered healthy. Carrying weight around your middle is risky because excess fat produces hormones and chemicals that can contribute to insulin resistance and cause inflammation -- which increases your risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Eat those veggies and start walking and you could be on your way to a smaller waistline!
